Why? I couldn’t actually tell you except that I’ve always wanted to have a classroom app with all of our stuff in it. The kids could take pictures of their work and upload it into the app and then I’d never have to hunt down missing work again. Not sure what the assignment was? Just go and check. Not sure what the homework requires? Go check into supplemental resources. Can’t figure out how to get your project finished? Upload what you have and ask for feedback.
All of which seemed like a far off dream for some future day until Udemy had a sale and I decided ‘Why not now?’ and bought a course on creating an Apple app. I recognize this won’t help my non Apple using students and families but once I master the Apple app I’ll work on an Android one.
So I started here and I’ve downloaded Xcode developer tools and I’ll presumably be learning more about simple code and how to build on that in the upcoming lesson.
