EFT or Tapping

Isolation and anxiousness are easy to fall into in current times. What better way to address both than Emotional Freedom Techniques, otherwise known as Tapping. This is an excellent video to start your understanding of what tapping is and how to do it.

Tapping is an easy way to internalize new messages and change negative self-talk issues which can impact our feelings of having a community versus living in isolation, as well as help reduce our anxiety level.

One of the reasons I tried tapping was that I was tired of doing things that required a huge time investment. I mean I loved the sensory deprivation tank and the salt cave but sometimes I am in my car or on my way into work and I need to calm myself and get centered. I can’t exactly call my boss and be like, ‘Hey, sorry I’m going to be late, I have to go sit in a salt cave for an hour and have a sound bath.’ She’s a lovely woman but I can’t see that conversation going well.

I’ve been doing it haphazardly so I haven’t seen the impact I’ve seen other people experience but I think if I could get focused I would see more of an impact from my self treatment. Which, of course, led me to the traditional female form of self care, getting my nails done.
